My role at Confluence Wealth Management is to lead a great customer service team, with a single goal of taking care of our clients. I believe we have a great team atmosphere, where we can grow the firm and keep our reputation as a top money management firm that does more than just manage money; we take total care of our clients. If you value your people and your customers, the value of your business will grow, which is what we have here.

I started my financial career working for a Tax Sheltered Annuity (TSA) firm. Working with school teachers doing an analysis on their financial situation on how much they could save for retirement. I worked at a local mutual fund company, where I started in the customer service area and then went to local discount stock brokerage where I learned the brokerage and market maker business. While at the brokerage firm I worked my way up to Director of Trading and acquired six different securities licenses. When the brokerage firm was sold , I stayed on to open both local branches and managed the Beaverton Branch. I ended up getting the opportunity to work for a money manager on the advisor platform. I learned sales and managing client option portfolios with two different firms. When I left the money management area to a bank and a private equity firm which increased my knowledge in banking, private equity/credit and customer service.

Little known fact:

I like to plan reunions of people I used to work with.

Outside of work I…

I like to play with my dog, take walks and watch sports.

Perfect day:

A barbeque with my family and board games after dinner.

What makes me get out of bed in the morning?

I enjoy working every day with smart people that look to improve the current way things are done, instead of just going with the status quo. If everyone thinks outside of the box, you see so much more and it is possible to improve in your business and personal life.
